About Kathy Zeamer, ABR, GREEN
I’ve made the Pioneer Valley my home for more than 30 years. I came to the Valley in 1992 through my employment with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service where I worked in the area of visitor services and communications. I retired from government service in 2008 after a 32-year career and then entered into real estate to continue work in a customer service field that allows me to bring together my love for houses, land, and people.
For many years, I’ve had what I call an "inexplicable attraction” to houses – their location, design, and features; the way they are sited and incorporated into the surrounding landscape; how light and floor plans influence the mood of a house; and how they mirror and represent their owners. I believe "we shape our dwellings and afterward our dwellings shape us.” To further my understanding of the connection between people and the spaces they occupy, I’ve studied with the New England School of Feng Shui in Woodbury, CT.
Finding the right house is a process. I have the skills, interest, and innate ability to work closely with clients in finding the home or parcel of land uniquely suited for them. Likewise, I work with sellers to bring them buyers who are looking for the features their home offers. I have a warm and personable style and greatly enjoy the relationships that develop between my clients and myself. Clients find me approachable, honest, attentive to their needs and interests, and a good communicator. I also enjoy new construction and frequently assist buyers who want to build or find that perfect parcel of land.
When not working with clients I can be found on the pickleball court, walking my dog through the streets of Hatfield, or hiking trails with my camera trying to capture images reflective of the open space and beauty found in Western Massachusetts. I also enjoy reading, live music, working out at Fitness Together, poetry readings, researching books on house design and construction, and exploring the Southwest and islands of the Caribbean.
My partner, Sue Moorman, and I live in Hatfield with our dog, a rescue from the island of St. Croix.
