Amherst already has a cape page on this site and the colonials are the obvious companion to it. Compare Amherst cape homes, create a free account to save this search and receive new listing alerts, or call Five College Realtors at 413-549-5555 for local guidance.
Amherst colonials fall into two groups that sit in different parts of town. The older ones are scattered along the roads that predate the colleges, out toward Pelham, Shutesbury and North Amherst, some of them eighteenth century farmhouses in colonial form. The larger group is twentieth century: centre entrance colonials built through the nineteen fifties to eighties in South Amherst and on the streets off Route 116, usually with a garage and a basement. Five College Realtors can tell you which group a listing belongs to.
