Sarah Shipman, REALTOR®, grew up in the Connecticut River Valley, explored other parts of the world in her twenties, and happily returned to make the Pioneer Valley and surrounding Hilltowns her home. She’s raised her children here for the past 23 years.
A former owner of a successful local business and a past teacher, Sarah is a creative thinker, organized, ethical, a strong negotiator, and loves working with all people in all walks of life!
As a seller’s agent, she has a good eye for staging a home to highlight its best qualities for a quick and profitable sale. As a buyer’s agent, Sarah helps clients successfully navigate a very challenging market and puts together extremely competitive offers to assist them in landing the home of their dreams. Sarah cares a lot about her clients and will always be honest, attentive, and work hard for them.

What is your motto? Treat each & every client with the same level of attention & integrity that I would want for myself.
What are you currently reading? Euphoria by Lily King (based on Margaret Mead in 1930's New Guinea).
Which living person do you most admire? I'm currently in awe of the mayor of Boston, Michelle Wu, who is doing a phenomenal job & at the age of 36 the 1st person of color to be elected. Not only that, but she just gave birth to her 3rd child! Women are amazing.
How do you measure success? By one's level of happiness.
What do you do to relax? Daily walks with my dog Buddy, drawing, summertime swims, needlepoint, getting together with friends & family.
What do you consider your greatest achievement? I've raised 2 very cool & kind human beings who are the best of friends!
If someone asked you for advice on getting into business, what advice would you tell them? Give it your all - your hard work, integrity & passion, and make sure to leave plenty of time & energy for all the other good stuff in life.
What are your favorite parts of living in the Five College Area? Having access to great music, arts, restaurants, education, medical care & lots of locally grown foods, as well as beautiful country, while still being near major metropolitan areas. We are very lucky to live here!
What are you currently streaming / watching? UConn women just won the NCAA title (my alma mater, whoo hoo!), also Yellowstone & just finished The White Lotus.
Did you have a turning point in your life or career? Getting into real estate 10 years ago was a big one for me, and I'm so glad I did it. Now I can't imagine doing anything else!
What do you like best about being in real estate? I honestly love getting to know all of the people I work with and I love homes. Putting the two together is meaningful for me. I also know it is a really important time in people's lives. It's such an honor to be a part of that!
What is your favorite musician / band? I don't have one favorite, but I love getting out to see great music and we have so many opportunities for that here. Looking forward to some good outdoor shows this summer!
