What is your motto? The only thing you can control in life is where you put your furniture.
What are you currently reading? Right now I am reading James, by Everett Percival; I just finished Long Island by Colm Toibim; next up is God of the Woods by Liz Moore.
Which person (past or present) do you most admire? My father continues to be a life guide, though he passed away many years ago.
How do you measure success? Creating your own path with courage and commitment, and loving what you do.
What do you do to relax? Mostly reading and cooking; I am also a perpetually-novice knitter; watching my grandchildren grow, and any beach!
What do you consider your greatest achievement? My two amazing daughters and FCR.
If someone asked you for advice on getting into business, what advice would you tell them? Work hard, persevere and surround yourself with colleagues who you admire, respect, and can learn from to reach your full potential.
What are your favorite parts of living in the Five College Area? I am a native of Springfield so I have been in Western MA my whole life and I moved to Amherst/Northampton 38 years ago. My daughters say I know this area "like the back of my hand." I loved raising my kids here and sending them to great public schools, and raising them in a richly diverse community; I love that I can take a walk in the woods and also go to great restaurants. People know each other here, and people are kind to one another. This is my home!
What do you like best about being in real estate? Buying and selling a home often happens at a major life transition-- first time homebuyer, new job, aging, divorce, new baby--so being a Realtor, for me, is also about being beside people through these major life transitions, assisting in facilitating a move or finding the place where they will begin their next chapter. It is a great experience to be part of the process.
What is your favorite musician / band? My playlist is filled with all kinds of music!
